SEO Signal Check privacy

Last updated: October 22, 2026.

What it reads

When you open the extension, it reads the active website’s URL, title, metadata, heading text, image attributes, links and JSON-LD. It uses Chrome’s activeTab and scripting permissions. It does not request access to all websites, read cookies, collect form values or browse other tabs.

Where the data goes

Analysis stays in the extension popup and disappears when it closes. There is no account, server upload, telemetry or paid API. CSV and JSON exports are saved where you choose; they can include non-public URLs or metadata from the page you inspected, so review them before sharing.

External tool links are optional. Clicking one opens the named service with the page URL, under that service’s privacy policy. Social images are displayed as URLs rather than loaded remotely.

Limits

The inspector reads the rendered document, excluding iframe content, closed shadow roots and CSS background images. It does not check HTTP response headers, crawl the site, fetch link destinations or confirm indexing. Large lists and structured data blocks are bounded, with visible notices when data is truncated.

The interactive sample uses fictional data. The marketing pages use the standard Small World Marketing website configuration; the standalone sample and extension contain no marketing analytics.
